Gardom Lake Bible Camp Here We Come

Well, we never seem to sit still for very long and we are nearing our latest move. Mike applied a little while ago to be a director of a new program starting @ Gardom Lake Bible Camp for this summers. He was accepted and ever since we have been trying to figure everything out for our family to move in just over four weeks for four months.

Mike spoke @ Gardom Lake two years ago and we @ least know where we are going but right now there is little that we do know. The camp is near to Salmon Arm and Ryan and Joanna, my cousins, work and live there. Mike will be working as the director of the encounter program for the entire summer. That includes some physical labor and all the prep that goes into a new program. I, for what I know for now, will be taking care of Ryan and Joanna's kid's. It will look different during the school year and during the summer, but I will be watching them.

Somethings we don't know are; Were we will be living for the second two months. How the job pays exactly. How we will be feeding ourselves the first two months.

All of these things will make for an interesting summer. I'm writing this letter for a few reasons. I really just love to share what new things are happening in our lives with all our family and friends and well, we need a lot of prayer.

Some prayer requests. Ben is growing strong, healthy and fast, meaning that he grows out of clothes sooooo fast still and we need to clothe him through out the summer. Prayer for our financial situation, we really don't have much money @ all right now and getting almost everything for the entire summer before we go will be hard on our wallets maybe even impossible. Maybe prayer that we will be more dependant on God to provide for us. That prayer can be so scary sometimes. This move will be a big change for us and we need prayer for Mike and I do understand each other through all these changes and that we will do the best for Ben in all our changes. Also one more financial need is that school is getting hard on our family and that this summer job of Mike's and a student loan will get us through another year of school and that it will not be a burden during the summer and we can live in the moment of being @ camp. Pray that for us and my parents that this will be a nice refresher and we will all learn to love each other more from our time apart because we will be moving back to my parents in the fall. Also that we get rest during this busy summer. Also and finally that we will keep in good health.

Thank you so much for your love, prayers and support. You will never know how much you truly mean to both Mike and I. (Sorry the picture is so old, as a photographer I never seem to take pictures of my family all together.) The day we will be moving is April 26th.

Daycare finally started

This week I now have two girls coming to our house for daycare. Ava and Gabby, Ava is in the picture above with me. This was just before her nap today and she was getting so tired. It has been an interesting week trying to get the kids all settled into a routine with all their different nap times. It doesn't help with @ least two out of the three not feeling so good because they are getting new teeth. The only thing I wish that could be different is that the weather would be a little nicer so we could go to the park and all get some fresh air. So here are a few pictures to introduce you to my charges.
Here is Ben checking out Ava's soother. He as never liked his own but if someone else has one he will take it from them and see what the fuss is all about.

Ben checking to see if Gabby was sleeping. I sometimes hear things and I check like this. Not sure why he thought he needed to check like this, it was clear she was not asleep.

Ben and Gabby playing in the same area of the basement.

Mike got his bean bag chair last week and Ben is having just a good time with it.

This is what Ben does when the girls are sleeping. Well...he does it when they are awake too.

Here Gabby and Ava are playing together in Ben's room.

My mom and dad had Monday off so they spent a little time with me and the kid's.

One little interesting note about the kids is they are all younger then 1 1/2 years. It will make doing some stuff rather interesting. We have fun when we can and try and sleep through the rest.

Ben and health update

Just a little note. Ben does not need a puffer everyday! He just has one for emergencies and we need to keep and ear on it whenever he gets sick, because that seems to be what triggers his problems with breathing. I must say that I was so exited that hear that when the doc told us we didn't have to torture him twice daily any more.

Thank you for all your prayers and I will try and continue to update with all the happenings in our lives as often as things go on. Love to you all.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Horrex

It was grandpa's 75th birthday this weekend and we all got together to celebrate. I think he really enjoyed himself. Family came from all over to celebrate the wonderful man that grandpa is. The picture above is of grandpa and Jaclyn, she is wear a sweater that Anne made for Jaclyn's birthday. Her birthday just happens to be on the same day.

Here is Jana, Mike and Jaclyn enjoying good times and laughs together.

The boys had a great time together. The younger two in the picture, Ben and Adrian, are starting to play together and had so much fun under the table. They lasted so long and never got upset with each other. I'm so exited to see how their friendship grows.

Here is grandpa with his kids. Mom (Julie), Lisa, grandpa and Steve. It was a really nice day and I hope that everyone had a good time.
