Sun for the Garden

I was exited to see the sun come out today because I've been wondering how my plants are doing with this lack of sun. But today was so nice that I'm hoping it will help them grow big and strong.

I can't wait to taste these yummy tomatoes.

Finally a Sunny Family Day

Here is a few pictures of our fun family day at the water park.
It was so good to finally have a sunny family day at the park.

Ben is getting a little more comfortable in the water. He actually was a little wet by the time he left.

Quinlan on the other hand jumped right in the water and was soaking wet in seconds.

I was surprised how many people where at the park.
School is still in section isn't it?

Yum, lunch at the park!

I hope everyone else got a chance to get out and enjoy the sunshine. It was just so nice.

Generational Love

While making the boys beds today I was admiring there quilts and blankets and thinking how blessed they are to have so many generations of people who love them. They have blankets and quilts from every generation of family members. Some from grandmas, great grandmas, good family friends and even me. What a blessing to see the love that is passed down from generation to generation.

The picture above is also a picture of Quinlan's new 'bed.' We just put his crib mattress under the bunk beds until he gets a new one for Christmas. It is actually really good that he is on the floor because he is always half off the mattress when I check on him.

Anyway, thank to everyone who has shared there love and time they put in to the blankets and quilts for our boys.

Growing Garden Finally

I was checking out my garden today and Ben decided to make 'chocolate milk' with mud and water. He was having a really good time and he didn't make too much of a mess, so I got a lot done while he was doing it.

Mostly this year I planted veggies, but I did plant one flower and here it is. It still looks the same.

The kinds of veggies I planted are:

Green Arrow Peas
Dwarf Gray Sugar Peas
Kentucky Wonder Bush Beans
Touchon Carrots
Green Onions and
Zucchini

this is one of the peas.

zucchini

green onion

carrots

Parsley.

Here are my tomatoes again.
So far I am really enjoying have a planter garden and am looking forward to seeing what comes from if this summer. I'm looking forward to yummy good veggies for the whole family to eat.
