A five month old Boy

Well we had a little family photo shoot for Ben's fifth month. I was just taking Ben's pictures and then we just kept on going and going and it just didn't seem to get any less fun so we just kept on going.

I also wanted to show off that Ben has gone a little green, I know that the diaper that he is wearing is blue but they are clothe and we will save the environment for his future and it will cost us less in the long run. We are always looking to save money. The environment thing is because God gave us this earth and we were talking lately how we need to give a little more respect to the things that God gave us. Anyway here are our pictures of our little boy @ five months.

One of his new favorate things to do is be upside down.

We are working on doing better self portrates with the whole family. It actually is a bit challenging but I really want to perfect it.

Things get a little crazy with a little guy in the pictures sometimes.

We love our little guy and we hope that one day we do not pressure him to do one of the sports that we love but that he will find his own passion. I really hope that at least one of his passions is some sort of sport though. I won't know what to do with a kid that didn't like sports.

Camping for the Very First Time!!!!!!

I just wanted to share the latest adventure of Ben and mine. We went camping the last couple of days across the line at Bay View. My mom invited us to go with her and we had a great time with many firsts for Ben. I was challenging to get all of Ben's stuff in with ours in my mom's truck so I'm kind of wondering how Mike and I will fit everything in our little car when our little family goes camping on Father's Day weekend?

I'm sure there were moments when things weren't too exiting for Ben. My mom and I enjoyed a little shopping while we were down there and we didn't have anything to put Ben in so we had to carry him the whole time. He just wanted to play when we wanted to shop. He's getting better in his play yard though, we ended up getting more sleep then when Mike and I were at Sun Peaks. Oh I'm so glad my little guy is growing up (yes I do know I will miss each stage when it is gone).

Well, anyway here it is our camping adventure.

This was our little cabin that we were staying in and I was chopping wood as I kept watch over my child. I know a cabin isn't real camping but all it had was beds and a table, well and a heater. It was Ben's first time out and we didn't want him to get too cold. It was nice not to be wet the whole time, we would have been if we were in a tent.

Has Summer Finally Come?

Well, we thought that summer had finally come so Ben and I had a few adventures over the weekend. We started with going to the Zoo with Denise and then kids on Friday and ended with a pool day at Grandma and Grandad Bjorndal's. He seems to love the sun so far.

I think at this point Izzy was getting tired it was the end of the day.Ben got a little tired and just needed a bit of a rest like usual.

Ben really enjoyed the car he got from Mandy. The wheel was particularly tasty.

HUZZAH

Today is a wonderful day and to all good morrow and huzzah.

The reason that I am in such a jolly mood is my silly yet wonderful son. Yesterday and today he had enough formula from a bottle to consider it a full meal for him. I'm sure to all of you this seems like a very short process, but to me each moment was long and strenuous. He's still being a little funny about it. Ben will refuse to drink out of a bottle if anyone is holding him. He just likes to lay on the floor and enjoy his meals that way. If you pick him up he won't even let you put the nipple in his mouth (sorry Brandie if you are reading this I know you do not like that word.)

Well, I just wanted to share the little bit of excitement that was going on around here. Thanx to all those who gave me encouraging words.

Really wanting to update!!

I've really been wanting to update lately but for some reason I can't get any pictures up loaded. I've gotten some great shots of Ben and his cousins lately. We've been away from home the last little while and I thought getting an update would be nice for people but I guess that not today maybe soon.

A little written update is that Mike has started a new job. So far this week there hasn't been much work but it is just the beginning and they have to work to get customers.

Ben is now rolling over and every so often he rolls back over to his back. Last night he looked like he was going to try and crawl. He got up on his knees and well that was about it. I think there are a few things that he should do before he crawls but who's to say what he'll do next. Oh, now he doesn't cry when I give him a bottle, he just laughs and doesn't really drink at all. Some days are still better then others but at least he's not screaming at me all the time now.

I really hope that things get worked out soon that I can get some pictures up. Just for a little nibble, Ben was wearing a plaid shirt and a trucker hat the other day.
